We're pretty big fans of Marina and the Diamonds. By pretty big, we mean she as a permanent spot on our iPods. We've been waiting for her second album to come out since we reached the end of the last track on her first album (The Family Jewels). Well, the album (Electra Heart) is out if you're reading this in the UK. If not, you have to wait until July 10 for it to drop in the U.S. Or you can order it off Amazon, right here.
Check out one of my favorite tracks so far from Electra Heart - "Lies" . . .
Expect a full album review this summer!

Agave Bar
I spent a lovely night with a friend last week at Agave Bar in Oberlin.
I became a fan after I discovered they put sweet potatoes on their burritos and MEXICAN coke!
They have a really nice outdoor patio for all your summer-sitting needs.

Add some floral
Summer for me is all about color - and floral prints. I'm loving these Clinton Friedman plates, pillow covers and prints from West Elm that are sure to add some summer (aka color and floral prints) to your home.

TGIF
It's a long weekend - hooray! Since there will be a lot of picnics and cookouts this weekend why not keep it local when you can? Try bringing some Griffin Cider with you to all of your holiday weekend get togethers - trust me, everyone will thank you.
Made in Westlake, Griffin Cider Works only uses apples from Ohio in its alcoholic cider and that's something we can get behind. The one I had at Melt in Cleveland Heights had a lighter flavor than other hard ciders I've had, and it's sweeter. I thought it drank more like a white wine, which was totally okay with me. I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it, although I don't know that I could have had more than one glass.

Short on shorts
After browsing through my summer clothes over the weekend I realized all the shorts I own are jean cutoffs. Clearly there's a hole there I need to fill so I'm not spending my entire summer in jean cutoffs. I do love them, but they aren't always appropriate so here are some options from Gap I'm considering . . .
Neon + roll-up |
Basic black + trouser |
Bright colors + canvas |
